The DRX System
DRX 9000 has been shown to be highly capable of relieving the compression on the spinal nerves caused by disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and posterior facet syndrome. Decompression is caused by distraction forces applied by the DRX onto a specially-designed pelvic harness that the patient wears. The automatic shoulder support and chest harness provide stabilization for the upper body, and help to distribute the applied forces evenly. The angle of pull (automatically controlled by the DRX) and a special air bladder acting as a fulcrum, allow the user to target a specific disc level for treatment. The split table design decreases friction and allows separation of the vertebra, thereby minimizing the effect of gravity.
