Dear Mrs. Bokal and Mrs. Ramirez,

It was indeed a pleasure meeting with both of you today and informing you of our recent successes – which the U.S. Department of Commerce, Orange County Export Assistance Center, Newport Beach, California, was instrumental in paving the way for our commercial ventures in the United Arab Emirates.

As you may recall, Joseph and Gionis, LLC (Newport Beach) is a premier global biotechnology consulting and distribution firm which is dedicated to promoting excellence of product service, biotechnology, health and welfare throughout the Middle East and other parts of the world. Our products excel on the cutting edge of science and technology to promote health and well being.

Our firm was first contacted by Mrs. Erica Ramirez, International Trade Specialist, U.S. Department of Commerce, on August 3, 2005, who informed Joseph and Gionis, LLC, that various inquiries had been made about our organization from the U.S. Department of Commerce office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. After exchanging information and meeting with Erica in your Newport Beach offices, Erica informed your Abu Dhabi offices of our organization. Within days later, my partner Dr. Walid Yousef, met with the organization in Abu Dhabi who was inquiring about us – Mr. Ahmad Al Dhaheri CEO of the Bin Salem Group GTE.

After several meetings between Dr. Yousef and Mr. Dhaheri, Joseph and Gionis, LLC signed its first multi-million dollar contract with the Bin Salem Group GTE – on August 27, 2005 – just 24 days following our initial contact with Erica! Soon thereafter, on December 12, 2005, we signed our second contract with the Bin Salem Group as our exclusive distributor in the United Arab Emirates. Our total contractual value is approximately 45 million dollars. The products which we have taken to the United Arab Emirates warrant special mention – as they significantly impact health care and the common public good.

Our firm, Joseph and Gionis, was the first firm in the world to obtain over-the-counter approval of an oral HIV screening testing product which gives individual users their results within 20 minutes. It is a simple oral swab which has a 99.8% accuracy rate for testing HIV. Our product is known and marketed as the Calypte Aware Oral HIV test kit.

Our second product, Microcyn, is both a disinfectant antimicrobial and a wound cleaning-healing solution which is particularly effective for healing diabetic wounds and ulcers. It is an FDA approved and US EPA approved product which has also gained approval in Europe (CE Mark). This product is totally non-toxic, safe, because it utilizes specialized electrolyzed water, it is absorbed by microbes and then causes them to immediately disrupt and cease becoming a threat to health – in this way, it precludes the microbes from mutating and becoming resistant. This product is effective in killing a large and divergent group of virulent organisms. For instance, it is recognized by the FDA as effective against Salmonella, Staphylococcus, E. Coli, Tb, MRSA, pseudomonas, and even HIV.

As a surgeon who has practiced medicine and surgery for over 30 years, and who has treated thousand of wounds, I personally believed in Microcyn – so my firm, Joseph and Gionis, LLC, took a chance with Microcyn.

On our own, Joseph and Gionis, through our affiliate offices in China, arranged for Microcyn to be tested against the influenza A H5N1 virus (commonly referred to as the Bird Flu Virus). Joseph and Gionis arranged to have Microcyn tested by the world renowned National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory, Harbin Research Institute, The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Veteran Influenza Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, of the People’s Republic of China. We had Microcyn tested as a disinfectant of surfaces and cleaning solution against the Bird Flu Virus, understanding of course, that the Bird Flu Virus spreads by direct contact and contamination. The results: our product Microcyn was 100% effective in killing the Bird Flu Virus upon contact.

Indeed, we are grateful to the U.S. Department of Commerce for introducing our firm, Joseph and Gionis, to the Bin Salem Group GTE of the United Arab Emirates. Such an introduction has permitted us to form a very solid bridge between the United States from which we can work with professionals, Ministries of Health, and public health agencies, not only in the United States but throughout the Middle East and China as well.

We firmly believe that we will be greatly contributing to the public health of nations and help decrease the morbidity and mortality of two of the world’s most notorious killers: HIV and the Bird Flu Virus – and we have the U.S. Department of Commerce to thank for permitting us this opportunity – and for allowing us to build bridges amongst the peoples of the world.
